Ayodele Samuel Abolorunde (formerly Aborisade), is a budding scholar who holds a Ph.D. in History from the Department of History, University of Ibadan. He joined the History Department at Ibadan in 2015 as An Assistant Lecturer and defended his thesis titled: Import Control in Colonial Nigeria, 1939-1960 in 2018. Since he joined the Department, he has served in different administrative positions in the Department. These include examination time-table coordinator, undergraduate, 2015-2018, B.A project coordinator, 2015-2018, deputy postgraduate coordinator, 2017-2018 and currently the Department’s Distance Learning Centre (DLC) Coordinator. His area of research interest is economic history with special focus on Nigeria’s Import Control History from the colonial to post-colonial era. His research also focuses on other aspects of Nigerian economic history and Nigeria’s international economic relations.
